001 [Video]

[the view, which seems to be of patch of grass, is jostling around, tapping as well as a muffled curse] ...probably Stark technology. [the camera jostles everywhere as the man turns it around in his hands] Wait, Stark's name isn't on it, can't be his. What Stark would miss the chance to plaster his name everywhere.

[the camera moves around some more, mostly catching glimpses of the ground and a building, the man huffs] Do you know how this works?

[a pokemon makes a negative sounding "ri" before the camera moves again, catching a glimpse of sky but then is obscured by a thumb] Yeah, me neither.

Seems to be on. [moves his thumb, a man with short, tidy, blond hair and curious blue eyes comes into view, his blue top fits perfectly to his muscles, but is otherwise unmarked] Is that the len- This is one of those video phone gadgets.

Okay, so best guess is someone can or will see this, so does anyone know what or where this place is? What century is it? Because it seems more like I slept into a few centuries this time, I mean I have my little blue companion with me, so it's not all bad, but I just want to know where I woke up this time. Because this isn't Kansas. 

[feed goes black with a muttered 'oops']

You know, I don't think I've ever actually picked up a paintbrush, so yeah wrong kind of futurist.

As a futurist, I work on predicting trends technology, society, and even sometimes politics. But unlike others, I hav- Had the money and connections to be able to reshape the world to help make it a better place. It's how I turned Dad's million-dollar national company, into a billion-dollar multinational. With more divisions that even he could have thought possible.

I think I have some of those paintings, though.

Well, I think even among futurists I'm still a pioneer. Which is nice.

I thought I read somewhere that you donated a bunch of your paintings to the Boy Scouts.

Uh, yeah. My entire modern art collection. But I was dying. [He waves his hand dismissively.] I was working on starting a new one, until.. You know, here happened.

I wonder if we'll remember this when we go home. I figure on not or maybe feeling like a bizarre dream. And yes, I'd like to see whatever art you've recollected.

You know, I have no idea on that one. Too many theories I haven't read on different universes to really be sure.

Well you're always welcome to it, I mean someone should see it other than me and Pepper.

Well, you should share it with the public. Maybe museums or galleries would rent the art from you to show it. It's out of storage, people get to see it, and [sighs] you make a profit... maybe.

Believe it or not, half of the money I make that doesn't go back into the company, goes to the Maria Stark Foundation. So my profits help the disadvantaged.

But hey, when I get back, I'll look into it, it could expand the scholarship net.

You're not as cold hearted as I was initially led to think. So, yeah I can believe it.

It's a good use of the art, keeps it from being a storageroom collection and it helps people to learn on many levels.

[He nods to himself more than he does Steve.]

You know, I never really knew how into art you were until just now.

[Steve grins at Tony seemingly unsure how to respond to that]

Art is my second calling, I had planned to spend my life doing it til the war.

It's moments like these I'm genuinely surprised you don't just have women coming out from the woodwork to just hold you, love you, and you know, be your everything or something.

[looks completely baffled at Tony, because he doesn't even know how Tony came to that idea or conclusion]

Being too small to notice for ninty percent of my life probably explains it some of it.

Don't think being small has much to do with it than it does with you being shyer than most rare animal species.

Not knowing how to talk to dames and being shy aren't the same thing.

She is, but personal interactions and professional ones aren't the same, so it wasn't an issue. Besides, as much of a looker as she is, I wasn't interested.

Not interested? Really? That was really the whole reason I made her my assistant when I gave Pepper control of the company.

[Raises an eyebrow at that comment]

Yeah, I'm not surprised. I'm sure she played you like a fiddle.

I don't think fiddles are that bossy. Or hot.

She is very beautiful. [thinks Tony has a thing for red heads now]

[He grins a little, remembering her.]

You remember her, I'm going to go call Thor. [gets up to go do just that, Grace jumping down to follow him]
