[There's a steady quality to Steve's voice, though with enough stress that if you listen for it, you can hear that he's forcing this quality, to hide his discomfort. Every so often, there's the sound of an Espeon making pathetic little noises and a strong purring noise that follows each time, but otherwise there's very little noise for whatelse is happening around the man.]

I've been thinking about what it would be like to have Pokemon in my world, back where and when I came from. How it would change every day life, how it would change sports and movies, how it would change the function of machines, how it would change war. I'm finding that I don't think it would have changed as much as people would suppose. Maybe the future, but my time would have been similar in the turn of events.

It's made me wonder if anyone else has thought about such things. So, I pose the question to all of you, how do you feel having Pokemon in your world and time would, or would have, changed things?

((OOC: If his peeps(or other people in Goldenrod) want to come action at him, feel free. He's found a nice place outside, alone but for Pokemon, just drawing and seeming withdrawn))

Life might have been easier. Or more difficult. But it would have been very different to be sure.

[Because it's a good question. What could have been different if they had Pokémon on top of everything else?]

We would have had a pet though, that's for sure.

[When the feed Start's Tony doesn't react to it, listening but that's it. After a moment he stills his pencil long enough to look at the screen. Then, he just gathers up paper and some more pencils. He glances around for Pep, but can't see her, she shrugs then goes out looking for Steve, he doesn't say a word as he sits down next to him and just goes back to his blueprints.

He could hear the tone of his words, and just can't bring himself to let Steve be alone right now.]

[Blake is pacing around the city. He can't hold still. His eyes are red and his movements are stiff and jerky. Usually right now he'd be out doing some animal fighting, but the thought of one of them out in the grass tearing at something with its teeth is not fucking okay right now. So he walks.]

[For once his Snubbull isn't with him. It's with all the rest, in the little balls shrunk down and shoved in a bag in his apartment.]

[There's somebody on the phone, and Blake's about to reply, but he runs into him in person first. He's brought up short, and the crazy thing Tony told him pops into his head and right out of his mouth.]

Captain fucking America.

Well I suppose it would depend on how they showed up in the world in the first place.

[Rude's taking a walk outside town; he had heard Steve's initial call, but had no input to provide for the time being simply because he wasn't sure what to think about it.

It just so happens that as he's walking by Steve, a bruise from the fighting tournament started acting up. There's a slight twitch of a jaw muscle; it's more of a discomfort than any actual pain, but he might have to sit for a little. The closest bench has enough space for three, but is occupied by only one. Rude heads over and coughs softly, just to get Steve's attention.
]

...mind if I sit?

Thanks!

I guess it depends on if they were suddenly introduced or if they were there all along. Invasive species being a thing, the former option isn't appealing, but... I definitely don't like the thought of leaving them alone. If nothing else, I wish we could take ours back with us.

[He's just going to ignore the part where as far as he's concerned this is all the same world, and translate 'world' as 'time'. Because he doesn't feel like getting sidetracked with that inane argument.]

My own had creatures much like these, although less widespread and....domestic in their use. The presence of pokemon there wouldn't change much.

We'd still need animals about, or we'd starve. But...they'd make life easier, for certain. Perhaps it'd be a bit more like this world is.

...I wonder if they'd be so kindly without the balls to put them into...

It would have changed everything completely. Worlds adapt to their inhabitants, and any world with Pokemon would develop differently than any world without, even if the residents within are the same.

[Carol sits down next to Steve, letting out her team so they can stretch their legs. This includes the newly evolved Mar-Vell, still looking a little awkward in his new, larger body.]

Saw your post. I don't know if I'd have pokemon back home. I get worried enough about my cat when I'm away, let alone something I'd take with me.

[Her nightmares flash in front of her mind's eye. Blitz being crushed by rubble, Helen trying to fly away from an explosion, being consumed by the flames. It's too dangerous.
