004 [Video/Action for Route 39]

[Steve is sitting in the shade of a tree wearing a normal outfit (not his uniform), he's holding an Eevee in his arms, who is softly crying, and has a Lucario sitting next to him looking rather perplexed at the Eevee. Steve looks like he's a little unsure about this]

Grace evolved earlier today, I was a bit concerned about how long it was taking, but she does things at her own pace. [the Lucario looks at Steve and nods in agreement] It was really amazing, I didn't think she'd wind up being so big. No more carrying her around, though she's already picked me up and carried me around. [he chuckles as Grace puffs her chest out proudly]

The problem is Amber hasn't stopped crying and shying away from Grace since. I was thinking she was scared of her, but no, after some charades, I figured out she's really upset because she wants to evolve too. [the Eevee heaves something that is best described as a sob, leaning away from Grace, who is trying to comfort her with some pets]

I want her to meet more of her evolutions before she decides what she wants to be. She's met a number of Espeon's, but none of the others yet. Is anyone willing to humor us and let her at least meet more of her evolutions, even if it's just through video?

Amber, be polite, say hello. [he encourages her to look at the screen, which she eventually gives into, and she almost immediately perks up at the familiar Espeon, merping a hello happily and showing a curiosity in the other two as well, chirping greetings to all of them]

Nora doesn't seem very pleased. [chuckles, thinking it's cute]

She tends to be like that when people bother her during a nap. Otherwise, she's the one being calm.

[Hope-the-Espeon pets his sister because sheesh, that's a kid. So Nora stretches and out and assumes a more dignified position.]

[Amber marvels at how FLUFFY Nora is, pawing at the screen, clearly unhappy that she can't be there because she really wants to run around Nora and see if she's really that fluffy]

My Growlithe doesn't like being touched while she sleeps, she gets very cranky, Amber just loves to be touched anytime.

A Growlithe, hm? I suppose even those of the same species are different in personality. My companion has an Arcanine-- the Growlithe evolution-- and she enjoys affection in general.

Affectionate isn't a word I'd apply to Rita. She is really feisty, she likes a good pet once in a while, but she prefers to rough house and battle.

I suppose they all have their little quirks. I have three Eevee evolutions after all, and they're all different. Also...

[sticks the Gear among his Eeveelutions and disappears off-camera. He can be heard yelling 'Lucky! Lucky, here girl!'

Pounding of giant paws on (reinforced) hardwood floor.

A noise from Hope that very clearly means 'oh shit' even if he doesn't say it.

And a flash of red, yellow and black in the camera accompanied by the thud of two bodies hitting the floor, before everything is still again and the derpface of an Arcanine can be seen from the Eeveelutions' perch. With some laughter from the Umbreon.]

See? [Hope's voice is muffled. Yep, she's lying on him.] Affectionate.

[Steve and Amber watch curiously until he returns under an Arcanine. Steve is chuckling at the entire scene]

That fits the bill. Looks like she is quite happy using you as a pillow.

[Grace moves to look at the screen, rolling her eyes and slipping away again, while Amber chirps happily at the huge puppy]

Very happy, actually. [He cant shove her off because she's nearly double the weight a scrawny engineer can carry, but he can crawl out from under her instead.

So he does, making an attempt to flatten his hair while Lucky attempts to give him big slobbery kisses.]

[chuckles and scratches Amber behind her ears, she murmurs happily]

[Looks at Amber, as if to ask her, she makes a pleased sound, so not a good answer, but she's happy, so that helps]

She's still deciding, but yes, thank you for letting her meet your Flareon, the Umbreon and Espeon too.

[Lucky whines-- what about her? Hope manages to quiet her down by scratching behind a massive ear.]

You're welcome. Has anyone spoken to you about the other potential evolutions yet?
