004 [Video/Action for Route 39]

[Steve is sitting in the shade of a tree wearing a normal outfit (not his uniform), he's holding an Eevee in his arms, who is softly crying, and has a Lucario sitting next to him looking rather perplexed at the Eevee. Steve looks like he's a little unsure about this]

Grace evolved earlier today, I was a bit concerned about how long it was taking, but she does things at her own pace. [the Lucario looks at Steve and nods in agreement] It was really amazing, I didn't think she'd wind up being so big. No more carrying her around, though she's already picked me up and carried me around. [he chuckles as Grace puffs her chest out proudly]

The problem is Amber hasn't stopped crying and shying away from Grace since. I was thinking she was scared of her, but no, after some charades, I figured out she's really upset because she wants to evolve too. [the Eevee heaves something that is best described as a sob, leaning away from Grace, who is trying to comfort her with some pets]

I want her to meet more of her evolutions before she decides what she wants to be. She's met a number of Espeon's, but none of the others yet. Is anyone willing to humor us and let her at least meet more of her evolutions, even if it's just through video?

Thanks. [a birds talon reaches down to push a button, ending the feed]

[There's a fumble with a camera for a moment, before a Glaceon and Umbreon are seated side by side, the Glaceon looking more concerned than the dark type as she approaches the screen with a concerned mew.]

Kit and Umbra. Ice and dark types. One takes a stone, the other takes being happy and evolving at night, opposite of an Espeon.

[Steve moves Amber to look at the screen, despite her trying to resist] Amber, say hello, they're here just for you.

[Amber looks up at the screen, making pitiful whining noises, she moves closer to the camera, her curiousity over powering her grief, she makes a timid sound greeting]

[Kit scoots right up to the camera and noses at the screen, chittering gently in an attempt to calm the little Eevee. Umbra just grunts, but with some prompting pushes from his trainer, he gets up and approaches the screen to quietly watch.]

Kit has been a Glaceon for the better part of a couple years now, so she might have more helpful advice of sorts than Umbra. Ignore his grumpy demeanor, he's just trying to look cool.

[She's never seen a crying Pokémon, and it leaves her blinking with more than a little surprise before she turns on the 'gear, an Espeon in her arms and a bit of a sheepish grin on her face.]

Well, I don't have any evolutions you haven't seen, but this is Tanuki.

[The Psychic-type nods at the screen, leaning forward to just briefly nuzzle the screen as if that might help.]

Amber, say hello. [moves her to look at the screen, she sniffles sadly, clearly not wanting to] Come on, Tanuki wants to say hi. [she gives in and looks at the screen, perking up at the sight of the Espeon, pawing at the screen and making a noise of greeting]

[Tanuki takes one look at Amber before leaping out of Tenten's arms and rubbing his cheek affectionately against the 'gear. As if Amber's distress wasn't already obvious, to the Psychic type it's even plainer, leaving him trying to project calming waves through the 'gear.

Does that even work? He's going to try it anyway. Unfortunately it leaves Tenten's own voice pretty muffled behind him.]

Tanu-- ugh. Anyway, you think it's because Grace evolved?

[[On the screen is a Leafeon and Jolteon, both peering into it concerned about the little Eevee. An Espeon is seated behind them. She may not be needed, but she's got some powerful motherly instincts and must investigate the crying. There's also a fourth Eevee - shiny - bouncing up to try and look at the camera too.]]

This here is Cocoa the Leafeon - the grass evolution - and Ella the Jolteon - the electric. Both require stones to evolve. I actually own or interact with the other evolutions as well, so I would be more than happy to share what information I know if you have any questions as her trainer.

[Steve moves Amber to look at the screen, which she fights a little, whining, but Steve murmurs to her about saying hello, and she gives in, looking at the screen. She noses at the gear, making a soft noise of hello]

Thank you. I got a random question, is Jolteon's fur as sharp as it looks? This girl likes to hang on my shoulder, so I guess I wanna know if she chooses that if I'll be uncomfortable or not. [chuckles because yes he'd still let her on his shoulder even if it was uncomfortable.]

[[All Eevees on the screen say hello, almost in unison.]]

Actually it isn't! Jolteon has the capability of sharpening it's fur if it wishes by charging it with electricity. However, if it becomes startled or angry, it will do this naturally so you will want to be mindful of that while holding her and the like. Similarly, Glaceon can do the same. Only the method of sharpening their fur is by freezing the strands of fur.

[Well Hope can certainly do that. Cue the camera being pointed at a trio of Eeveelutions lounging about on a fat pillow, with Hope's previously-met Espeon in the middle. The Eeveelution on the far right isn't pleased about being filmed while he's napping so he lets out an annoyed alley cat meow.]

The one on the right is Nora, a Flareon, gained through a Fire Stone, and the one on the left is Palum, an Umbreon. Though I imagine you know about Umbreons already. ['Cause Vanitas.]

And I believe you've met Hope already. [Cue that one going 'mreh'.]

Amber, be polite, say hello. [he encourages her to look at the screen, which she eventually gives into, and she almost immediately perks up at the familiar Espeon, merping a hello happily and showing a curiosity in the other two as well, chirping greetings to all of them]

Nora doesn't seem very pleased. [chuckles, thinking it's cute]

[Katara smiles, waving first of all. With her is a Vaporeon.] Hi again, Steve. Hi Amber. I have Eva here, if it helps? She's a water type.

Amber look, a Vaporeon, we haven't met one of those yet. [Amber sniffles, so Steve has to encourage her some more to turn to the camera, merping a hello]

[John's laughing a little when he turns on the feed, his Lampent peering almost eagerly over his shoulder.]

I see Rose got a hold of you already, making anything I had to say on the subject even more useless than it already was since I don't have my Umbreon with me right now and there are no PCs in Mount Moon. So Chandel and I will just offer you and Grace our congratulations instead.

[At that, Chandel chimes in loudly, flailing her arms a little. SHe is so happy for you, Grace. You are basically an adult and also big and strong and go you.]

[He pulls Amber to the side so Grace can get back into the picture, getting super excited to see her friend]

[Grace makes a pleased sound, looking a bit unsure of it after, not used to how her voice has changed yet, but waves at Chandel all the same]

Sounds like a phase. The grass is always greener and all that shit. What's wrong with sticking with what she is? Maybe if she turns into something else she won't like it, and then she's stuck.

Unfortunately, my Eevee still hasn't hatched yet. Otherwise, I bet it would love to meet other eevees.

(Cadence holds the egg up to the video. Peering from behind the egg is her Shinx, who's rather curious about the current goings on, even though he's rather shy.)

Maybe she can meet Tempo, instead?

(Slowly, the Shinx reveals more of himself to the camera, curious about meeting others. He just...isn't quite used to it, is all.)

[he moves Amber to look at the screen, eventually she does and makes a timid sound of greeting. Steve smiles, watching her as his Lucario leans back into screen at the mention of an egg, looking curious, then decidedly unimpressed, leaning back out of screen]

[Suddenly! There's a Flareon all up on the feed. Giving a bit of a huff, and a wag of the tail. Hmph, she is the bestest of all Eeveelutions.

Laguna soon comes in-view, though.]
Well, I guess you've already met Aurora, right? I'm actually gonna be hatching another Eevee soon, so I'm pretty interested in seein' the other evolutions.

[Amber reacts to the huff, looking at the screen timidly, becoming more curious when she sees the Flareon, saying hello timidly, Steve lets her have her moment, then looks up at Laguna]

The other evolutions are amazing. I wouldn't mind getting another one day, but Amber is enough of a handful right now.
